Our free Breakfast is served from 8am - 10am, and the bar is open to the public at anytime after that. You're welcome to join us and drop off your luggage - there's no charge! (see below for details).
All guests rooms will be ready for check in at 2pm each day.

Luggage Drop Off & Storage.
All guests are welcome to use our free luggage storage facilities before check-in and after check out. Our luggage storage is available from 8 am until 10 pm.
We can also provide safe storage for any valuable items throughout your stay - simply ask a member of staff at the bar/reception and we'll provide you a receipt for any items.
What is included in the price of my stay?
We include free breakfast, free bed linen, free towels, free wi-fi internet access, free printing (only booking and tickets), free use of our kitchen facilities, free luggage storage, use of lockers inside the rooms, maps, tourist information , and earplugs.

Do you accept group bookings?

What is your cancelation policy?
Amendments or cancelations must be made 48 hours prior to your arrival date. In order to make a cancelation, please email us at email@example.com
For bookings made via Booking.com please note we are unable to assist with changes directly, you can update details using the log-in information provided on making the reservation.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Bookings made by e-mail are subject to a first night deposit to be made by credit or debit card via a secure link (we use worldpay) for the amount Requested, this can be done by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Bookings made via our website will pay £ 1.50 and for any other booking engine (hostelbookers, hostelworld) will pay 15% to That site and the reminding balnce upon arrival. PLEASE NOTE THAT deposits paid to us are non-refundable.
Can I make a booking without a credit or debit card?
No, if you are not in London. If you are in London, you can make a booking and pay a cash deposit in person. Please note, When making a booking in person, you must show a valid photo ID
Can I pay in advance?
Yes, partial or full Amounts can be paid in advance via email to email@example.com. we will send you a secure Worldpay link (you will need a valid credit or debit card). You may also pay in advance with cash in person.
I have paid a deposit online, When Do I pay for the rest of my booking?
Arrival Payments must be made in full upon. We accept cash only in GBP and credit or debit cards.
I need to make a change to my booking, how can I go about doing so?
All Changes and Amendments to bookings must be made 48 hours prior to your scheduled arrival date. You can make Changes by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org. PLEASE NOTE THAT if you cancel your reservation, any deposits made to us are non-refundable.
I have not made a reservation in advance, do you accept walk-ins?
Yes, we take walk in guests (subject to availability) however you must Be able to present a valid photo ID Please note, only passport or driver license will be accepted. We will NOT accept student cards.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept cash in (in GBP only) as well as credit, and debit cards as payment (we do not accept americann express). Arrival Payments must be made in full upon. If you need to exchange your money into GPB there is a currency exchange service two minutes from the hostel.
Why do we need to see your valid ID upon arrival?
We check all guests I.D. Reasons upon arrival for security, and to Ensure That bookings are accurate, and That our guests are over the age of 18.

Can guests under the age of 18 years of ages stay at the Walrus?
We will NOT accept bookings made by Those under the age of 18. Guests under the age of 18 May stay in the hostel, however They Must be Accompanied by a parent or guardian legally responsible Who is over the age of 25. Furthermore, They Must stay with parent or guardian in a privately booked dormitory. If You have any questions, or if you will be bringing a child under the age of 18 to the hostel, please email us in advance at email@example.com
Where can we store our luggage?
We have free luggage facilities, additionally we have a secure locked area Specifically for items: such as laptops, cameras, tablets etc.
Are your beds and facilities single or mixed sex?
All of our facilities and dormitories are mixed sex, apart from one 4 bed female only dormitory.
What if I arrive early than check in time?
Official check in time is 14:00. WHO guests arrive early to the hostel are welcome to drop off Their luggage, and Will Also Be able to use our bathroom and kitchen facilities.
What are your reception hours?
Reception is located downstairs in the bar Which is open During the following times
Monday- Wednesday: 8: 00-23: 00
Thursday: 8: 00-00: 00
Friday: 8: 00-01: 00
Saturday: 8: 00-01: 00
Sunday: 08: 00-23: 00
Can I smoke in the hostel?
NO. It is illegal to smoke in any part of our hostel. Guests found smoking will be Asked to leave the hostel IMMEDIATELY and no refund will be Given. However, We have designated smoking areas outside.
I've never stayed in a hostel before, is it safe and secure?
Yes, Although London is a big city our hostel is very safe and our staff take every possible precaution to Ensure it stays That Way. All rooms and the front door to the hostel have a security code to enter. Additionally, We have CCTV THROUGHOUT the building, lockers inside of all our rooms, and a secure room to keep expensive belongings: such as laptops, cameras, tablets etc. 100% Secure!
I can see your hostel very close to Waterloo train station, is it noisy?
Our hostel is located next to Waterloo station, making us the closest hostel to the London Eye, Big Ben and a variety of other exciting landmarks. We have double glazing on all of our windows to help shut out noise, and we are happy to Provide earplugs to any guests Who are finding it hard to sleep. We find MOST guests do not notice after a busy day exploring Central London.
We do not operate on site laundry facilities, however there are a couple of options nearby.
Our Neighbours at Kennington Laundry & Dry Cleaner offer a drop off/pick up service and will provide any hostel guests a discount.
